When Traffic School is NOT an Option
You're driving along, taking care of business when all of a sudden you look in the review mirror and there they are...the
dreaded flashing lights signaling you've done something wrong. Don't beat yourself up, it happens to all of us, sometimes no matter how safe of a driver you are. Now, most of us will try and use the traffic school
option but there are times when either you're not eligible or there's that pesky old saying, "not enough hours in a day".
Reasons why people don't go to traffic school...
- In some states you can only go
once every 18 months.
- If you have a commercial license. A lot of states will not allow you to go, even just for one
ticket, depending on the class drivers license.
- Sometimes it also depends on the type of violation you get, if you
qualify for school or not.
- The reason most insurance agents hear is, "I just got busy and forgot".
Whether you have an option to go or not, did you know that some insurance companies now offer ticket
forgiveness too. This is something you have to add on before you have any violations so make sure to ask your agent,
TODAY, how much this costs or if you can qualify for it. You might be pleasantly surprised by the answer!

Does Accident Forgiveness Advocate Bad Driving
Some believe that accident forgiveness is rewarding people who drive badly. That it's giving them a hall pass to not pay
attention to the road and do whatever they please. Generally, most drivers do not intend to have an accident but there are
a few people that break the law and intentionally cause accidents over and over again - accident forgiveness is not designed
for these people due to it'll only forgive you for one accident. After one incident your rates will go up so people that continuously
have accidents would only benefit once.
This program is targeting teen drivers. Let's face it, when you're learning
to drive this is when you're mostly likely to have an accident, never really intending it but it happens. For parents a tip
may be, don't let your teen know you have this coverage, this is mainly for your protection. And make sure you instill safe
driving habits from the beginning.
One last point may also be the safe driver bonus. This program by Allstate
insurance has been set up to reward people for not getting into accidents - 5% of your premium back every six months. Now,
does that sound like it's advocating bad driving?
Make up your mind for yourself and call us for more info!

When is the best time to buy life insurance.
Many people struggle with the thought of buying life insurance because let's face it...who wants to think about death?! But
if you have children, a mortgage, a business partner and/or married you want to take care of the people that care about you
or at least have a financial interest. Life insurance isn't so bad and can be really cheap but there are a few things you
should keep in mind:
1. The younger you are the cheaper the insurance. Lock in your age today, before your next
birthday, and save money.
2. Go with a company that you know like Allstate, Lincoln Benefit, State Farm, etc. There are
a lot of companies on the internet that will promise you a lower rate and pull the ol' switch and bate when it comes to issue
time, basically after your medical exam is done.
3. Term life insurance is pure life coverage and is the cheapest. If
you're on a budget get term life and ask your agent down the road about converting to a permanent life policy. You've locked
in your good health today and have the coverage you need.
4. Consider starting a whole life policy for your children,
while they're young. Permanent/whole life builds a cash value, locks in their young age today and gives them life insurance
for life - this is cheaper than you think!
All in all the best time to buy life insurance is today! You're the
youngest you'll ever be today - talk to your agent or call us at 866-614-3400 for a no obligation life review.

Handy Insurance Tips...
When looking for ways to lower your car and health insurance bill the easiest and fastest is to raise your deductible.
On your health insurance it will save you money if you look into options like higher deductibles and then putting a supplemental
health plan in there to fill in the gaps like accident insurance and/or cancer insurance - You'll be amazed with the savings!
Also,
look at coverages on your car insurance where you might have double coverage. Example: You have rental car reimbursement but
have an extra car you could use in the event your car is in the shop being repaired.
Another might be...if you
have a low deductible health plan and still have medical coverage on your car insurance. But remember, on this coverage medical
covers all passengers so keep this in mind and talk to your agent first before doing anything.
Insurance food for thought!
